Over the course of 20 years, what begun as a home housing 12 children from South Western Uganda has now evolved to four schools, two discipleship homes and three medical centers all across Western Uganda.

Rev. Dr. Ben Tumuheirwe, Founder and Chief Executive Director’s Bedrock Rationale for wholehearted and relentless fulltime Joyful involvement in serving the Lord Jesus Christ through Juna Amagara Mnistries is this, that:
The Lord Jesus Christ who called Simon Peter and charged him from a love basis to feed his lambs and feed his sheep is the selfsame Lord who also called us and charges us to do the same through Juna Amagara Ministries Uganda. Therefore, creating and availing opportunities that give life in a dignified and sustainable abundance quality caliber to people is the noble calling we embraced and have committed to fulfil being propelled by our continuity in hearing Jesus calling us to “Follow me.” in love as He instructed Peter (John 21: 15-19).
This lays the foundation for Rev. Dr. Ben Tumuheirwe’s absolute belief that without Jesus Christ helping us through the Holy Spirit, our actions and works become striving in futility. Hence we derive immense encouragement from Apostle Paul who aptly wrote saying:
“Such confidence as this s ours through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant –not of the letter but of the Spirit, for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” (2 Corinthians 3: 4-6).
Living Spirit given life in thankfulness to God who loved us and gave us the Lord Jesus Christ who loved us and gave his life for us places us in the sphere of serving where we are fuelled by love as Apostle Paul tell us further that:
“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for him who died for them and was raised again.” (2 Corinthians 5: 14-15).
And even though while living for and serving the Lord Jesus Christ may not necessarily shelter us from encountering opposition, faltering or tribulations, His promise that he will never leave us or forsake us assures us of the ever present reality of his love by which we overcome. For Peter who having understood the forgiving and restoring love of the Lord Jesus Christ wrote pointedly that love is the spring board of salvation and service, saying in 1 Peter 4: 8-10 that:
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
